From the PFS update on the 14th of June.
"The proximity of the Irvine pre-concentrator and trans-shipment facility offers a potential regional solution to processing low grade ores from the DSO operations of nearby mines."
It had been mentioned a few times that PLV are looking at taking over Cockatoo Island from Cliffs when they finish there next year... The use of the Cockatoo infrastructure would save on costs on Irvine.
From what I have seen of the ore body on Cockatoo it continues along to where the ship loader is atm. If the ship loader is removed, access to the ore body is enabled. The trans-shipment vessel could then be used to load the ore.
