The concern is that the prices were such a shock that further quotes are required "direct from manufacturers". Most engineering firms would have a very good handle on pipe costs etc so this may suggest an unexpected blow out in the capital costs department (possibly the injection/recovery bore piping area).

I am not overly concerned about the potential cost blow outs as the capex was comparatively low initially but the fact that at the 11th hour this is being re-sourced/re-procured suggests a lack of focus.

This DFS is certainly putting Mgt (and shareholders) to the test. Let's hope they come through it.

On the other hand as some of us have mentioned earlier, delaying such a release until market conditions are more favourable (for whatever reason...) is surely in the best interest of the company and the project. I am sure Gus is well aware of the markets.
