Not that i know alot about PV specifically but generally engaging such an organization is done so to achieve maximum value in both price & terms for the client, i would say that AVX has the scope of where it's heading or possibly various offers getting close to the table. In order to achieve the best path for the company it often pays to recruit highly specialized firms that have extensive experience in the 3 key areas - valuation / deal structuring / negotiations - in order to take the best offer, you have to feed a bit of these against each other & it comes much more clearly if it is delivered not via the company directly.
