Spent the Last week in Chiang Mai. Went to a temple with my Thai girlfriend. She asked an Arabic man and his family to take their shoes off while inside the temple and copped a tirade of abuse. Two days later in the hotel swimming pool she was asked to take off her tank top while in the pool she politely pointed out a muslim family were wearing t shirts in the pool. The Thai pook attendent informed her that muslims are allowed to swim with them because of their religion. She said she wore a tank top because of modesty. Bad luck, take it off or get out of the pool.
