I haven't made a point of keeping up with every scientific development on the planet. So, I don't know where the global dimming story has gone since that film was made. What impressed me, the discovery was stumbled on by guys measuring the evaporation of water out of a dish in Israel for about 40 years. It is this and the many seemingly insignificant exercises carried out by scientists year after year that lends credence to their work.
The fact, that you'd never heard of global dimming is what concerns me when people make sweeping assertions about the massive issue of global climate. None of us is across all the information. The IPCC is... we should listen.
And on the score of AGW they may be wrong but what if they're right. It's win-win if we do something/ big lose if we do nothing!
