"since you know for sure that there is no continuation of any from of consciousness or being after physical death"

    ----

Havent read any books on this topic but I've always had heaps o questions:

    * the universe is a vast place with infinite capacity to produce 'things', so why does it need entities (in particular our awareness) within it to be recycled or continue after physical death?

    * if there is reincarnation, why is it we re-materialise on earth? why not on the other side of the universe?

    * What is the energy source that keeps our awareness or being on-line without a physical form? And how would that unique awareness travel and/or enter other physical forms?

    * why is life/awareness considered normal or even attractive? given how old the universe is estimated to be, death/non-awareness may be the true/normal state of being.

    * we dont appear to have a grand purpose in the universe. All we do is consume. We are essentially parasites. Is this why the guys running the show gave planets & stars billions of years of existence and humans 100 years and extreme fragility?

As has been mentioned previously, I think people like the idea of continuation because it gives them comfort. This is understandable because people dont like the idea of being non-aware for eternity.
