I never said there are low expectations, what I said was the acreage is not proven and asked for meaningful comments/discussion on information pertaining to whether the acreage was unproven. Have a listen to the lastest TB interview where Terry says as much.

Instead of bashing me for ramping, which I am not trying to do (just trying to figure out whether SSN is a good investment at current prices) how about providing some discussion about how good or bad the niobara acreage will be.

For example, if you look at the latest round of sales in the DJ and PR basins, you will see that the PRB is attracting a lot more interest and higher prices than the DJ basin. Parts of Goshen county did not sell well at all. I don't know how Samson's acreage fits in with this (are parts of Goshen a lot more valuable than others, what are the wells near SSN's acreage doing etc etc)

Also, the cost of drilling these type of wells mean that they are not economic when the price of oil is low. Bakken wells typically cost about $50 per barrel to produce. You don't have to be a genius to see that these companies have high operational leverage.

Have a look at what the shareprices of companies like Continental Resources, AZZ, AUT, SSN and EKA did during the GFC when oil prices were collapsing.

I find it funny that I am accused of ramping when I am thinking of investing and just trying to generate discussion around the prospectivity or otherwise of the Niobara acreage.
