mithril,
Gone back to your first post, looked at the wiki.
You mention the Holocene Ice Chart, and you write "It is not moving too far from zero in the last 1000 years."
Yes, that's true, but the axis on the graph is in metres. It is not possible to say that .3mm is significant or not.
Acceleration: The wiki estimates the accleration as .2 mm/year.
The equation for the acceleration is
a = ((r2 + c) - (r1 + c)) / t
r2 = the final rate
r1 = the initial rate
c = the correction
t = time
Solving, we get:
a = (r2 + c - r1 - c) / t
a = (r2 - r1) / t
Notice that the correction has disappeared!
However, it's not that simple. The uncertainty in the correction will play a part. The GIA correction site states that is is 50%
The wiki states that
"Current sea level rise has occurred at a mean rate of 1.8 mm per year for the past century"
Even if the error in the correction is -50%, that results in a value of about .2 mm / year
This is an order of magnitude smaller than the sea level rise of 1.8 mm / year.
(Don't forget that the correction is not only due to extra ocean volume - it has its origins in melting of ice and reultant reduction og pressure on the land)
