Scitty, have your forgotten that Abbott is not PM and his opinion is not going to override the majority of Aussies?
How would you feel if Abbott was PM, gave a categorical promise of an unpopular tax pre-election and then backflipped against the majority will of the people and then too stuborn to take it to an election?
I know you don't like Abbott and I'm not keen on Gillard, but personalities aside, if you were on the other side of this, I think you would be very angry at being deceived.
Hopefully, people power will win the day on this one and not allow one woman to inflict her opinion and bulldoze ahead with a controversial tax that may not turn out be in the best interests of Australia without an election.
Let her go and sell her tax, but the right thing to do is to take it to an election.
