I know that the pollution in cities is only partly CO2 but here's a personal experience with acidification of water. We put in a water tank some years ago in Sydney. When we used some of the water to top up a fish tank the fish jumped of the tank! We tested the pH and it was quite acidic.

If you do nothing about pollution and its affect on the environment or the air we breathe you end up with the sorts of problems they have in Bejing and China generally. Whether its saving the planet from climate change or just cleaning up our impact on the environment don't you think its worth doing?
