The main problem with the price on carbon is the timing.. Australia should not be going this alone, it's not going to do a thing to reduce emissions in the big scheme as our industry will just go offshore. All it is doing is costing working families jobs, making foreign investors nervous about investing here (along with the MRRT), filling the coffers that this idiotic governments has emptied and keeping Julia on the right side of the greens. It's a joke, and it's not the best thing for this country at this time, as Julia would have you believe (IF you can believe anything she says). If she REALLY wanted to reduce emissions she would be spruiking GAS!

On the other hand I'm glad to see the takeover offer of MCC, I think it bodes well for us ESG holders in this idiotic political climate. There may still be light at the end of the tunnel yet.
