Turnbull came into the leader's job at a tough time.

Fact is/was, certainly at that time, that the vast, vast majority of Coalition voters simply did not believe the science and its warnings re manmade climate change. I saw a figure the other day that suggested that 72% of Coalition voters still don't believe in it.

My everyday conversations with people indicate that is probably a fairly accurate figure.

When Turnbull was leader, I couldn't help but wonder how much of his poor approval rating was caused by Coalition voters answering pollsters to the negative, who would've in fact voted for him in an election.

Were they just voicing to the pollsters, their protest at his compliance with Labor thinking on climate change?

    Just a thought......

Let's face it, diehard Coalition supporters wouldn't vote for the ALP in ten lifetimes.
