    Hi slats7,

I think dust may be taking a rest from your posts for a while...

I took a look at this question of yours...

"Dust, tell me how the Carbon Tax will work if countries like China, USA, India & Russia don't have an ETS/carbon tax in place by 2016??"

The answer is really quite straightforward really. We make our choices as a sovereign nation and other nations make their choices. China has a range of efficient mechanisms for controlling filthy carbon pollution, the USA has constitutional constipation, India has its own tax on filthy coal together with a mechanism for reducing coal consumption and the Russians will sort you out if you try and tell them what to do.

Why the fascists and lefties infesting this forum think we should be telling other countries what to do is something I find quite bewildering. Here in Australia we are at last taking a very small step away from filthy carbon pollution. I see that as a good start. Who knows what will happen in another three years. I expect other countries will be combatting climate change as well but what they do will be up to them.

In three years time I am absolutely sure we will have one atmosphere to share among all the species living on this planet. We are the only species capable of consciously changing that atmosphere and right now we are deliberately increasing carbon dioxide concentrations. Many of us realise that this is at best foolhardy and at worst dangerous.

Trouble is, foolhardy and dangerous are both human conditions just like fascists and lefties.
