Gk...I'm a little surprised you tried to substantiate your argument

Your 'facts', even if taken at face value, concede that global price is not that relevant thus killing your argument....and be honest, you learnt a little in your research, right?

Just a little more discussion on the issue. I understand management sees export as like a 'safety valve' for excess inventory...hence the flexibility of 10% but its best to supply the local market as far as margins.

Apparently, Tasmanian salmon is viewed as pure by the Japanese fish lovers...and it is expecially compared to most other places...

You are correct about value added products....unfortunately some of the smoked salmon, for example, is allowed into the country to compete head to head...Yes, its a bummer....you may note that 'Ocean Blue' is rather agressively pushing Non Australian stock in a Woolworths near you...Still, Tassal's suite of brands is holding relatively well in that small segment....I'm looking forward to seeing the earnings presentations cause I suspect Ocean Blue is killling just a little, unfortunately.

Ultimately, this is about EPS growth, even with the stock selling on a tiny valuation......I don't read the 'experts' predictions and I'd be surprised they predict flat EPS...but if that is the level of your research, I don't think you should buy this stock....
