Wow. Its hard top believe that a Gold Standard is still being talkied about.

I get it that the problems a gold standard causes may be out of peoples minds because it was used such a long time ago, but we have a living (for the short term) example of what happens to countries who have no ability to manage both fiscal and monetary policy, ala the Euro.

Lets hope Australia is smart enough the disaster of a gold standard.
