Keep in mind this is a merger of two companies that have little chance of ever producing. I think they are trying to pool their resources and will sell off the non-core assets in hopes of getting a project to production. Nothing wrong with the approach, but this is no chance A combining with no chance B to form slim chance C IMO.

I don't think this deal suggests Vale is going to come in and buy up several explorers. I think we have 200-300 projects and not near enough capital to develop nearly all of them. I fully expect JV's to get popular in the space. And mergers of little guys will happen too. But now is not the time as investors to grab the long timeline explorers IMO. The economy is too weak and the available funding for rare earth projects appears to be drying up even as the REE prices continue to rise.

This is part of why I see Lynas way out in front of everyone else. Fully funded, shortest timeline, the most and best contracts with the strongest organic growth all in one stock. Lynas is tops in all of the key metrics I use to measure a developing junior.
