Personally I think there is price suppression. I thought so with GDO, SDL & ESG. I believe the same here. Nothing else makes sense. It seems to be the new common takeover tactic.
Yes I am aware of the cost blowouts etc; but I am hoping on the LT fundamentals (5Yr+)
If you can justify buying as the SP falls (and the tactic as I have mentioned above is being used) you could make some $, but you will need to have a high threshold of pain.
With ESG for example the SP was punished for months. A majority of LT holders would have an entry more than 90c, yet what is being touted in the newspapers is the current huge premium to the last price.

Of course all I have said is pure speculation. ?Caveat Venditor?
