Dissecting the fundamental entrails of PE's and EPS and store sales and all the rest of it seems to me like unnecessary hard work.
The price drop has IMO nothing to do with internet sales, the number of shops opening or closing, plasma tv's or cd's.
Let me sum it up in three words: sentiment, sentiment, sentiment.
The banking and retail sectors are on the nose with investors because householders are--generally-- paying off debt instead of spending.
Simple as that.
JBH was trashed with daily shorts of 50%...until last week, and that certainly didn't help. Now it's around 5% and shorters have turned attention to HVN --46% shorts yesterday v JBH 6.6%
If this level, about 20 cents under the 50% fib does not hold, then it's $14 or $13.30.
