    Typical scare mongering article.

    "A melting Greenland ice sheet contributes to sea level rise, which has occurred at a mean rate of about 1.8 millimeters per year over the past century. If the Greenland ice sheet were to melt completely it would raise sea levels by 7 meters. But that is unlikely to happen for several centuries at least."

    Considering the ice is over 2 kilometres thick it would take more like several thousand years rather than centuries.

    On the other hand Greenland may be going through its normal cycle and we may see a bit of 'green land' in Greenland again!

    LOL, one thing is for sure, Gillard's carbon tax won't slow it down let alone stop it from melting.
