I appreciate your explanation of the purpose of bots although I seriously doubt that they make the market "more efficient." More "controlled" maybe.

But tell me this if you know: Can a broker who has access to the multiple personal accounts of it's customers run an algorithm for it's own fund?

For example, if I and many other customers of the same broker are buying FAR shares at say 9 cents, can the broker use that information to set an algorithm for their own fund to stop the price rising or even to force it down, maybe to flush out T+3ers for example?
