On the one hand, they have an XRF analyzer so you would think they had zapped the chips from the REE target and would know. However, this is not neccessarily easily done.
For instance, older Niton machines with 40Kva tubes are unable to analyse any REE's; newer 50Kva machines can analyse the LREE's only and Y and Th. Thus, at best, the Company would have only partial information and would not want to release information.
Therefore, best to await the lab results as they will be definitive.
I don't think the levels of REE's are that crazy hot anyway, but its early days.
Diamonds, well, you'd only know you had a kimberlite confirmed after sending material off for petrography. Again, this is a 4-8 week turnaround outside of Africa.
