Great story Fallguy, thanks. Alexander Kennedy was involved in another wholesale massacre on the Georgina river below Carrandotta station about that time. I was taken to that sad spot in 1969 by an old aboriginal head stockman (the legendary Byron Nathan) and given a chilling account of the brutal killing of women and children of the Kallakadoon nation. The number mentioned was near 200. This massacre does not feature in the curiculum vitae of A. Kennedy, pioneer of NW Qld.
