As Opposition Leader Tony Abbott leads our alternative government. IMO that means we have a right to know the details of his policies etc & even more so given the media-induced hysteria surrounding opinion polls & continuous baying for an election now that he has fanned.
IMO it's time he stopped riding bikes, surfing & staging media stunts & started preparing for Office - updating his party's vision & policy documentation. Why, he could even prepare a properly researched & costed alternative economic framework or an alternative budget if that is beyond him.

On other posts I have documented concerns about the performance of our media. IMO it currently represents a major threat to our pseudo democracy & is already stripping away our rights to be heard & to privacy:
. ~70% concentration of media ownership in one set of hands.
. our incredibly naive media self-regulation environment.
. significant non-adherence to internal conduct codes.
Although I think our media needs a real shakeup I am not suggesting government control or interference either.
