re: the war on terror rabbitoh Rabbitoh,

I agree with you but only up to a point.

Let me make an analogy if I may.

During the prohibition era, and the time when the Mafia ruled, and they ruled absolutely, everyone knew that they were corrupt, the law was corrupt, the judges were corrupt and the politicians were corrupt.

People lived in fear because these gangs were violent. Understandably no one wished to get hurt.

However it came to a point that that this lawlessnes could no longer be tolerated.

A group was set up, The Untouchables and they had an uncorruptable leader, Elliot Ness.

They were given special licenses and often not too many questions were asked. They did what had to be done, and as much as it could, to a large degree the resulted in era coming to an end. It more or less did when clean Mr & Mrs Average Joe Blow people started to realize they could fight back and more impotantly, win.

(I know corruption still exists and gangs still have their turfs etc but the way it was then, brazen and in the open, that came to an end)

    The same conditions exist now.

The radical Muslims and the countries that harbour terrorism, Syria, Libya, Iran, Saudi Arabia (just the oil keeps that one underr the lid) Iraq and last but not least the Palestinian Mafiosi, Arafat are the reincarnation of that era of grand lawlessness but on a much larger and more modern and deathlier scale.

The UN is not much different than the corrupt legislators and judges of the Capone era. Countries have their own agendas, their own gripes over their turf wars but it's all done in nice political "speak" hosted at that House of Lies aka The UN.

What we ( the west) need, is a modern Elliot Ness, with pre-set milestones that need to be achieved and then goes out and does it, not too many questions asked.

We need a new version of "The Untouchables".

    Radical thinking? Yes!

Fight fire with fire and go for the throat.
