The share market is overall vastly different to invesing directly in a commdity, i.e holding physical pm's.

Athough we (or I do)look to sound fundamentals it is sentiment and momentum that is a big factor in shares. And the press play a major role in this.

As gold and silver is detested by the banking and financial industry they are able to keep investors wary. And of course the financing of new gold/silver producers has proven to be difficult, many specks went to the wall in 08/09 as finance backing was withdrawn.

In shares now I only back those in prodcution but do dabble in those starting to go. AYN is one of my favourites at this time.

Another factor, and I return to the word sentiment, when the overall markets go down gold stocks also go down with them on the momentum. However there will be a day when this does change but the ordinary investors out there do not know as much as we do on this subject at this time.
