Fantastic announcement indeed!
Rather unfortunate it didn't come out with the so called 'big' announcement,however it is now in 'black and white' or should I say 'blue and gold' (phones to be replaced)that the business model that goes hand in hand with this technology is going to be the way forward (21st Century)for all telco's (not just Telstra).
It is also understandable why Telstra has given the 'thumbs up' to the web-phone and surely now, the so-called critics and non-believers must concede that the web phone is firmly off the starting block.
It also interesting to note the 'new face' on their Executive, namely Craig Turner - Chief Marketing Officer (ex Telstra).
I don't recall seeing his name mentioned prior to this announcement, but to me it is significant to have someone on Pie's employ, who 'understands' the marketing mechanics of Telstra. Very significant indeed if you consider the 'understanding' that he would have with Justin at the helm.
In fact I wonder how long Craig has been in Pie's employ and whether Justin Milne is the 'common denominator' here.
Can anyone add to ot confirm this?
