I understand that the EM technology will be used offshore Mauritania for final target selection. At HDR's roadshow I recall a mention on disagreements of drilling prospects so it may be for this reason.
I like your thoughts though. Hopefully the technology will be used in French Guyane. My concern about the technology is that it may show up uneconomical hydrocarbons as most past drills in the Suriname-Guyana basin had both gas and oil shows. Interesting times ahead.
Correction to my previous post. I meant to the west, not east of Suriname.
