Cameroon will not issue the mining convention to anyone other than the Chinese. They are in China's pocket, so to speak.
BHP, RIO, Vale all know it, it's a closed shop!

The Chinese can offer Cameroon real economic development (roads, hydro power, rail, ports, ...etc) and the big one...security.

The board will make the best deal they can, but don't expect a "knight in shining armour".
