The Steyr replacement is more a functional issue vice political. I agree. My point is, what is actually selected to replace it is a political question. All big military contracts are very political imo.

I think MST SP will jump nicely on receipt of PNG payment and the subsequent signing of a manufacturing agreement with Colt.

Colt can manufacture an extra 50 or so MAUL's for MST to sell to all the customers who just want 2 or 3 units for testing and evaluation.

The USMC has been evaluating MAUL this year. (see earlier posts from people like Moosey for the evidence) What the FY2012 budget request from USMC contained for MAUL is anyone's guess.

MPM announcement is a month or 2 away.

The MST SP is going to rise before the end of this year. No need to wait for next year IMO.
