Oz anyone that borrows significant amounts of money on top of their mortgage just because they can and effectively wastes the money by not investing it is asking for trouble. Despite that though assuming they make it through financially they will still be better off in retirement than the average renter that did not invest the difference between the rent and mortgage repayment.
