My problem with MQG is their biggest asset is $39.9Bn worth of loans which people have absolutley no visibility on. See note 10 of the latest Annual report. This is titled " Due from other entities, Loans and advances". What the hell is this?. Compare this with CBA' biggest asset which is loans worth $492Bn. In note 5 of the half year accounts, announcement of 9/2/11, this is broken down into over 20 categories expalining what it consists of. Lack of detail in MQG accounts is very concerning.
