I think there is a far bigger issue going on...heard today AAC has just sold one of its prime properties to Santos or Xstrata for mining for 21 million....
that land will be ripped up, destroyed, and no one cares...we are not talking about land over in the Pilbara, or non food bowl type land,,,in this case...
Australia is 90% desert....only 10% or so is capable of supporting food, cattle crops etc
yet the state govts have been giving the miners open slather to walk in and start mining on your land and nothing you can do about it...
in this case the biggest agri business listed in this country has sold a food bowl...

so maybe if you only care for money, and not ethics etc...you too could buy a swathe of farm land, then call the Chinese govt to come and buy it off you...
they will not be paying mining tax, carbon taxes etc
not even royalties....as in the coal methane gas industries....not sure of its Qld, nsw or both,,,exempted them from the royalties
have a listen to 2gb presenters, or look at that site for infor on this...
lame stream news could not care less, and keeping mumb on the subject...as in a closed shop mentality
do s google on the problem in Acland, Qld they have demolished the town, driven all the 300 reidents out...ripped it up...and not a word from any of the leaders
ps heard also,,,Qld has a deficit, debt of over $80 billion....not millions...billions....they have sold out to miners,,,,over 70% of that state allowed to be mined, run roughshod over the farmers,,,,who can do nothing to stop them...
    its all very un-Australian imo
