If the room vacancies at Lonny motels and caravan parks are inexplicably falling and large blocks of accommodation dates no longer available then it can be assumed it is under way.

May yet be too early but as a former motel owner in Launceston, EVERY last motel, hotel, caravan park, apartment building, etc. was canvassed approx 3 years ago to apply for long term contractual accommodation for workers.

It was envisaged that some 50 - 60% of all mid to lower end accommodation would be swallowed up for up to 3 straight years throughout the entire Tamar valley and surrounds.

Anybody with connections in that arena will be among first to have a heads up on the timing of the announcement and commencement of the project.
