Read the"subsequest events" paragraph on page 9 - I can certainly spot an extremely material event that has occurred since June 30 2010 that could cause earnings to be significantly greater than in the reporting period. How about a gold price +30% over and above the average gold price received last year???????????? This paragraph is erroneous and misleading.

Newcrest senior management may be able to effectively explore for gold,dig it out of the ground,manage costs etc but when it comes to being able to effectively communicate the benefits of a surging gold price and exploding margins they leave a lot to be desired and if work permits I certainly intend to voice my disapproval at the AGM. Senior management has little or no idea on how to sell the sizzle.

Yes the Canadian listing is a step in the right direction but that listing process should have been wrapped up by the end of June at the latest.
