HC you may be correct, desert regions may not be considered a sensitive area. It is difficult to assess or gauge how this CSG issue will be resolved.

The Great Artesian Basin is vast (google it and you will see) whether drilling for coal seam or shale gas in remote locations will be considered sensitive is anybody's guess, but i tend to think you might be right, and the Cooper Basin may escape scrutiny.

However, Strike still have to establish whether any fraccing is required, as it stands now we simply don't know, and if the past few years are anything to go by, it could be a while before we do.
