Richmond was and still is a working class suburb....
the suburb has not changed in 100 years....it still looks
like an ugly little place full of tiny little dog boxes...
pretending to be housing...as it once was.....housing for the poor, the workers, the unfortunates
I doubt it will ever undergo gentrification....or ever become popular.....
the problem with Richmond...is the tiny lots, tiny houses...
Richmond has huge benefits, in that it is so close to the CBD... but the fact it has been ignored for generations by developers and the elites remains a problem
is the problem with the Richmond council and its poicies...
my personal observation and experience with Richmond is...
refugees and immigrants are attracted to the area...due to the cheap cost of housing...
there is no comunity spirit alive and well in that suburb
there is no pride in the community
one would need to buy at least two homes there, in order to build an average sized home.....after demolishing the original homes,,
I would not buy in Richmond...there is no capital growth in that suburb....
I suspect there is a huge problem with the coucnil policies
