australia hasn't experienced a recession in over two decades..so, you would have to be at or near retirement age to have any memory of what a recession is like...all markets are driven by perception...for mine the prevailing perception is "safe as houses"...overwhelming majority of australian homeowners cannot conceive that they might lose money on their house
