Sappas has been on the market for some time now and anyone could have made an offer. Glory is not owned by CFE or Sage but they have skin in it because they know the management and believe that it is a good investment.
If another buyer had offered more for Sappas CFE would have sold to them.
This is business and not a mates deal so I don't think words such as "arrangement smells of the Perth mining clique wheeling and dealing" have any substance.
If you have any evidence of someone else who offered more for Sappas but was rejected I'd like to hear of it.
