Where I grew up, dangerous dogs that had escaped from there owners (probably pigging dogs), formed a wild pack and killed off all the wild dingoes in the area. They gang also up and kill cows in farmers paddocks. One of our beloved dogs a pink nose pitbull was killed one night by a pack in our yard while we weren't home, rather traumatising as a child. This was a rural area.

Now were I live in the suburbs, people who shouldn't own large dogs, leave them tied up all day, hence the dog goes crazy.

THIS SHOULD BE STOPPED!

The fear I have if blanket rules on 'dangerous dogs' come into place, is who decides what dogs are dangerous? We have had large dogs (all nice tempered) however a ol' lady down the road was terrified by them. She called the council on us complaining we had dangerous dogs. Lucky common sense prevailed (shock I know) and dogs got to live out there lives.

If such laws existed and my dogs were killed (put down) for NO reason except the paranoia of an ol lady, I wouldn't be happy.

We now have a medium size staffyX and tenifield terrier... the only reason for not haveing larger dogs now is they crap too big and too much.
