Good time for a Aussie Amdassador in Togo making a push for more business trades !!!
The Australian Ambassador to Togo, William (Billy) Williams, stationed in Ghana, is currently in Lom? with an aim of strengthening cooperation between the two countries.
"Australia is committed to expanding opportunities for collaboration with Togo in several areas, including enhancement of commerce and trade, strengthening diplomatic ties and the strengthening of development aid. It is a pleasure to be here for this mission on behalf of the Australian Government and I intend to hold several successful meetings," the diplomat said.
The official development assistance from Australia to Africa for the period 2011-12 is estimated at 291.3 million Australian dollars, against 200.9 million Australian dollars in 2010-11.
In an effort to deepen its engagement with Africa, Australia has established a partnership facility between Australia and Africa, and this is to ensure a direct response to requests from the Governments of West African countries, including Togo
