Problem with these dogs is that, if they are bad, the damage they inflict is pretty horrific. Do I want a golden retriever, or a pit bull, biting me? Have seen and repaired the damage from a lot of bites. Bull terriers, staffies, pit bulls plus crosses , the nature of their bites, rather than their nature, seems to be the major problem. As such, they need to be in more responsible hands, but although I'm sure there are lots of nice responsible people who own these dogs, there was a preponderance of these types of dogs in the area I worked, along with mullets , booze and amphetamines.
