I have to agree with Ctindale in that the house prices will collapse by greater than 40% in OZ. We are at the start of a rerate in the real estate market.

With Gold, bullion is the way to go. If you have more risk in your system, choose the best gold stocks and have your price points. I would not get them on margin...if one has more moola to spare, then get the best explorers and mid-tiers.

Gold is heading up due to volatility and inflationary problems. Indeed, the Asians are buying in droves cause its in their culture but at the same time, they see a change in the monetary system.

Aside, UTAH just made gold and silver legal tender! Another 10 states are now in the process of getting bullion as currency. This would add further pressures to the gold and silver prices.

Fundamentals are strong...till the situation changes, i will stick to the precious metal sector.
