It is illegal to use a Union credit card and book up non genuine Union expenses. That is called fraud. It always has been and always will be I am afraid.
I find it really odd that the supposed explanation is that someone else used the prostitute services and therefore its not a problem. The problem is that in the whole process Thomson has then authorized that expenditure by someone else as being Ok and a genuine Union expense.
For my mind, that action is just as bad as the original offence! He is still saying in effect that its OK to ripoff union members funds and authorize expenses that have nothing to do with the real activities of the Union.
Its very much a nonsense argument that shows us the morals of all the people involved. The fact that Gillard backs this nonsense is just incredulous. In effect she is saying its fine ti rip off any Union member. Its just plain nuts!
