Running a company that is involved in increadiably complex situations with something like an intermediate certificate would not in my opinion be a wise move. Now I do not know the exact situation, but no amount of the university of hard nocks makes up for basic knowledge. There is a certain amount you can learn on the job but it is limited.

I do not have a degree and have worked in the engineering game all my life and know where my limits are.
