Remembering an MP is only disqualified if successfully prosecuted and sentenced to 1 year or more in prison.

1. Police investigation into the need to have a Police investigation - estimated time 1-2 months

2. Police investigation - estimated time 6 months?

3. Mr Thomson charged

4. Initiation and finalisation of court proceedings - over 50% of criminal cases in higher courts take over a year to be resolved.

I have my money on 2 years to see it through.
