re: Ann: Ardent Leisure Group Half Year Finan... To a certain extent I agree.

So a company is as good and as bad as the consumer. Then there's not much point in blaming the managers during the bad nor praising them during the good. Which then goes to follow, what's the point in bonuses or highly priced salaries?

I just like that little graphic they have showing the worth of $5,000 invested in 2006 over time. In 2011, 5 years later, that investment is now worth $3,992... as compared to a savings account where the money would now be worth $6,382... in effect an AAD stakeholder is down 63%.

What I would love to see is a mechanism whereby an investor can buy derivatives that would track the remuneration of a company's management - rather than the performance of the company. Such an investment would have grown from $5,000 in 2006 to $14,310 in 2011.

Surely you're not blind enough to see what's happening? The portion of wealth that was ascribed to the stakeholder has been transferred to the managers at a MUCH MUCH faster rate than at what the company is generating.

Mate, I'd hate to see this company go down the same way as BSL... hey we're sorry we lost another $1 billion, and yes our executive team still deserve their million dollar bonuses.

    Lop off the rot.
