I think it is options expiration around about now so hence a possible reason for the drop. I think the fact that Ben speaks on the 26th will mean gold will go up.
I like what Chavez did demanding his gold. If he is offered pounds for his 100 or so tonnes stored in London gold will sky rocket as this will be considered a partial default. Watch this space. It just seems like massive news with regards to gold is happening every single day. That country bought more gold, that country wants its gold, so and so bought a billion dollars worth, etc...
