I've sold 500 -600 items on Ebay and bought maybe the same amount.
Your situation.....am I right in saying you DIDN'T pay the $1k...just you bid and now he wont settle?
Ebay has dispute resolution ...just navigate the Site Map and find the right place
In the end...the real and I think only variable at your disposal is his and your Ebay ID rep
And this only had teeth if he has a long history and a good score that he wants to protect
If not...he can just let that ID die and come back with another
Simply put....thrraten him with bad feed back but the reality of that is bad d=feedback wont stop many particularly if the re is a gross perponderance of positive and your is a lone voice in the wilderness
