The circumstantial evidence is certainly strong..maybe a bit too strong. Thomson would have to be a fool to leave such an easy trail to follow and I doubt he is.
IMO he is protecting others and others are protecting him and thats why none of this has come to light until five or six years after the event. And it's only come to light now because of changes in the leadership of the HSU and has only become big news because of the political implications.
It might be interesting if the truth ever comes out.
