Friends, friends, thank you for your encouraging words, but please, one at a time:

Nathan, you are the voice of reason as always.

Avarive09, you on my favourite posters list but I think you may have misunderstood my post about options value.

I was simply making the point that buying NKP shares by exercising these options amounts to paying a 15.5c or 69% premium to buying NKP at todays market price. I think you will find that my logic is unassailable. We were both calculating different things.

Stagman, Remember when you wrote (Post #: 6054346):

"Sprogman, these farms wouldn't be mined for decades if Anglo/ARM controlled them.

I agree that they are using this situation to shut Xstrata out, but in my opinion the main reason they would want them out is so that nobody develops the resource.

    Why?

IMO, this latest development is more to do with the existing miners safeguarding their access to the supply of power and water than anything else.

    Stagman"

That post really opened my eyes. Angloplats has enough has enough PGMs to maintain current production for ~100 years. So why do they need NKP?

That's the real trap with NKP, IMO. Looking at the resource figures one would be forgiven for thinking that this project must be attractive to a major. The fly in the ointment is that PGMs are a tight market and supply is adequate to meet demand for more than any of our lifetimes.

Why would Anglo invest very serious bucks into a project that would compete with it's other operations for the finite PGMs demand?

Legandary, I'm not sure what you think I got wrong. NKPO will expire worthless on 31/8/11. You will have to PAY again to play again, unfortunately.

But that reminds me of something you wrote a short time ago regarding the now deceased NKPOs (Post #: 6554073):

"...Options could prove to be a 5 bagger or could be a 10 bagger. All within 5 months mind you. Bottom line 6 cents will prove to be a steal in 5 months time. Name me a stock with better upside potential in the coming 5 months... "

    Hmmm...

Macleod, I more than doubled my money on NKP and sold up ~80% on NKPO (after having been up much much higher.) This stock came across my radar in Dec 2008. I really feel for those who have been holding (and doubling up, down and every which way) since the $1+ days. Don't you?

Flyboy, if you're not even going to try, then why bother?

    And Albert, I still don't.

Isn't this forum great guys? Just a bunch of Internet friends having a red blooded debate about our favourite companies... Good luck all.
